Colorado TELECOOP is now the eLCC (eLearning Consortium of Colorado)
We are a coalition of public and private colleges, universities, K-12
education, private sector business and public television stations
dedicated to the enhancement of educational opportunities through
distance learning. Known for the previous 19 years as
Telecommunications Cooperative of Colorado, the new name better
reflects the changing times and advancements made in the area of
distance teaching and learning. The mission and focus remain the same -
the enhancement of educational opportunities through distance learning.
The UNC Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning invites all eLCC members to attend a special overview session about the Quality Matters product on Tuesday December 2 from 11am -1pm, with lunch provided.
Quality Matters has been used for standards and quality control of online courses and involves peer review. Different subscriber institutions use Quality Matters in different ways. For example, some institutions have a team of people, both internal and external, who do exhaustive reviews of courses; other institutions have one person doing reviews of all courses. There are three components: an online interactive rubric tool that can be used with online courses, the course review process, and training for faculty development or implementation of Quality Matters. The organization uses a subscription model.

The 2009 eLCC Conference will be held at the Vail Marriot Mountain Spa and Resort, Vail, Colorado April 15 - 17. We are currently accepting presentation proposals for the conference.

The next meeting will be held on November 21at University of Denver - Phipps Mansion from 10am - 2pm. This is a planning/retreat style meeting.
